The Loudoun County Department of General Services is seeking a qualified applicant for the Maintenance Technician I position in the Waste Management Division. This general maintenance position supports landfill and recycling operations by performing grounds maintenance at the County's 400-acre landfill site using lawn mowers, tractors, rotary mowers, string trimmers, blowers, and vacuums. Duties include, but are not limited to, lawn mowing, edging, trimming, fence-line maintenance, litter control, traffic control, recycling center, and citizen convenience area operations and cleanup. Off-season work will entail performing maintenance on landscape equipment, fence repair, erosion control (raking, shaping, seeding, mulching), snow removal, and site cleanup. Loudoun County Regular Full-Time Employees are eligible for full benefits including but not limited to the following as a part of a total rewards package! Preferred:
Exp erience with small-engine maintenance and repair. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of criminal and DMV record background checks. Valid driver's license and good driving record (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification). Ability to lift 60 lbs. is required.
