Custodian/ Junior Maintenance Technician

Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and supporting basic maintenance in an injection molding facility. Ensures production areas remain safe, organized, and free of debris while assisting with minor equipment upkeep and facility needs.

Job Duties:

Clean production floors, aisles, restrooms, break rooms, and offices Remove plastic scrap, pellets, and debris from around molding machines Empty trash and recycling, including production waste bins Clean minor oil, resin, or coolant spills following safety procedures Restock restroom and facility supplies Assist with basic maintenance tasks such as changing bulbs and filters Support cleaning of hoppers, dryers, and material handling areas Assist maintenance team with preventive maintenance tasks Report equipment issues, leaks, or unsafe conditions Maintain 5S standards and organized work areas Assist with moving materials and equipment as needed Follow all safety procedures including PPE and lockout/tagout awareness Work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment Support shift change cleanup and setup activities Maintain tools and cleaning equipment in good condition Complete Custodian Housekeeping Inspection Form Assist Materials Department with scrapping gaylords of material Support production floor scrap handling using scrap barrels Operate fork truck to move scrap dumpsters and material as needed Demonstrate and enforce applicable ISO requirements (ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485). Follow requirements of ISO standards to maintain and improve the Quality Management System. Understand and apply

Clauses( 4.2.5, 6.2, 7.5.5, 7.5.8, 7.5.9, 7.5.7, 7.4.3 ) to applicable role responsibilities Understand and apply AS 9100 Clauses( 7.1.5, 7.1.3, 7.1.4, 7.5.3, 8.5.4, 8.5.2, 8.5.5, 8.7, 8.4) to applicable role responsibilities High school diploma or GED required. Previous custodial, warehouse, or industrial experience is a plus but not required, forktruck license Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools
