Mobile Maintenance Technician Job Description As a Mobile Maintenance Technician, you will travel around the Reston, VA area to various commercial buildings, providing essential maintenance services. Your day-to-day duties will include plumbing, electrical tasks, receptacle replacement, lighting repair, and general building maintenance. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs per work order requirements, in compliance with company procedures and safety standards. Conduct minor plumbing maintenance, such as unclogging toilets, repairing leaks, and replacing fixtures. Carry out routine painting and carpentry work to maintain facilities in like-new condition. Perform minor electrical maintenance within state law requirements, including repairing or replacing fixtures, switches, and outlets. Complete service inspections and asset inspections as needed. Utilize technology such as tablets and smartphones to access and complete work orders, submit service reports, and manage timesheets. Obtain necessary materials and supplies to complete tasks efficiently. Maintain consistent communication with customers and internal support teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Essential Skills 2+ years of general maintenance experience, including minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills. Expert knowledge of safety procedures. Strong technical skills with devices like iPads and iPhones. Ability to work independently. Effective customer communication. A clean driving record and valid driver's license. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with HVAC systems, facilities maintenance, electrical tasks, painting, plumbing (drain cleaning, commercial/residential toilets, sinks). Commercial door experience is a plus. Must ideally reside within a 30-minute commute from Reston. Why Work Here? Enjoy the benefit of a company car and tools during your contract. Work Environment The work environment consists of various commercial sites, including daycare centers, plasma centers, and retail locations. You will work independently but will have access to a support network of technicians in nearby areas. The position primarily requires working first shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional nights and weekends. You must also be willing to drive within a 100-square-mile radius of Reston as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reston, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
