Day to day responsibilities include but not limited to: Knowledge of process equipment used in a Paper Mill. The ability to maintain and troubleshoot issues with mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Extensive understanding of rigging. Ability to precisely install couplings, bearings, pumps, rolls, motors, gearboxes and other mechanical equipment using state of the art alignment tools. Strong metal working skills including cutting and welding for fabricating. Knowledge of hydraulics and fitting a plus. A strong background in preventative maintenance. Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area. Be a team player. This position is in our Paper plant in Richmond, Virginia. This location produces a finished paperboard from recycled paper material. While reporting to the Maintenance Excellence Coordinator, we expect you to have a proven record of quality workmanship, a strong work ethic and ability to work effectively with co-workers and management, and for the safe, efficient performance of all duties, and must be willing to complete all tasks assigned by management. This position requires working alternating weekends, some holidays, and being available to answer call-ins on a rotating basis. Primary shift is day shift. We prefer you to have a 2-year Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field and/or have at least 3 - 5 years minimum work experience in Industrial Maintenance. You must own your own tools. Rate of pay is currently at $31.83/hour with the option to increase $4.84/hour if completion of Pay-For-Skills.
