Maintenance Technician

Penmac Staffing is seeking the following in South Hill, VA.

Job Title:

Industrial Maintenance Technician Pay ranges between $25+, depending experience Maintenance Technician (Multi-Craft) -Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repair services across multiple crafts, including electrical, carpentry, welding, plumbing, sheet metal, painting, and millwrighting. This role is ideal for smaller facilities where the technician handles most maintenance tasks independently, with support from specialists or outside contractors as needed. Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks in multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, sheet metal, painting, millwrighting).
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and system issues for emergency repairs.
• Read and interpret verbal instructions, written work orders, blueprints, and sketches.
• Adjust, repair, disassemble, replace, and reassemble equipment and components.
• Conduct preventive maintenance routines and inspections on building systems and machinery.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and common shop machinery safely and effectively.
• Assist specialists in performing complex repairs when required.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.

Shift Details Schedule:

Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30

PM Overtime:

Some Friday and Saturday hours may be required as necessary. Pay Range $25.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience and additional certification Qualifications

Education/Training:

Completion of an apprenticeship in one primary craft (e.g., electrical, plumbing, or mechanical).

• Additional training or experience in one or more secondary crafts.

Experience:

Practical experience in multi-craft maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Skills:

Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings; strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment; comfortable working in various environments (indoors, outdoors, heights). Preferred Attributes
