Job Description

Building Maintenance Mechanic II - Full-Time Falcons Landing, a premier Life Plan Retirement Community located just outside Washington, DC, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Building Maintenance Mechanic II to join our dedicated Facilities Department. This is an advanced-level position responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building systems that keep our beautiful campus safe, reliable, and comfortable for residents and staff.
What You'll Do:
Perform complex preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and auxiliary systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues to ensure timely, effective repairs. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Lead or assist with large-scale maintenance and renovation projects. Provide responsive support for after-hours, on-call, or emergency needs (weekends, holidays, or inclement weather).
What We're Looking For:
3-5 years of progressive building maintenance experience (5-7 years preferred). Universal CFC certification preferred. Advanced knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems (commercial and residential). Experience with DDC controls and automated building systems. Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and independent decision-making skills. Prior maintenance experience in hospitality, hospital, or senior living settings preferred. Why You'll Love Working at
