Handyman

Duties:

• Assist in all aspects of facility maintenance, including repairs, renovations, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Assists in lawn care, basic facility repair, facility janitorial needs, and gathering facility supplies
• Assist maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors to execute maintenance tasks effectively.
• Procure and keep in stock necessary materials, equipment, and services for facility maintenance, repairs, and for animal keeper needs under supervision of managment
• Respond promptly to facility emergencies and coordinate with relevant managers to resolve issues efficiently.
• Assists in animal capture, transport, restraint, and chemical immobilization
• Maintains proper storage of fuels, chemicals, and tools following OSHA standards.
• Other duties as assigned; heavy emphasis on assisting with guest experience and animal care duties.

Qualifications:

• Ability to operate a wide array of tools and heavy machinery/equipment preferred; strong emphasis on tractor repair, skid steerer use, and utility vehicle repair preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Proficiency with hand tools, lawn care devices, and troubleshooting issues with those items
• Ability to learn front of house operations and basic animal care standards in coordination with the Director of Animal Welfare and Guest Services; Williness to aid in other areas as needed.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
