Job Description

Trex Company, the world's number one decking and railing brand, and leader in high-performance, low-maintenance outdoor living products, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide support for key maintenance functions, including but not limited to, production equipment repairs, equipment upgrades, and general preventive/corrective maintenance. Help us deliver what's next in outdoor living by driving improvements to production uptime and general overall equipment reliability. Our Maintenance Technicians receive a comprehensive benefits package and hourly wage starting from $33.05/hour to $40.95/hour. We also offer a $3,500 tool allowance to start and an $800 yearly allowance. We know that you need good tools to do good work. Candidate must be able to actively engage in Trex values and culture. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Promote and practice all aspects of job safety. Always demonstrate Trex cultural values and beliefs. Maintenance and repair of all mechanical and electrical systems onsite. Troubleshooting programmable logic controls and understand ladder logic. Responsible for metal fabrication, machining, welding as required. Support engineering in the improvement of and/or development and implementation of new products and processes Capital project support as required. Participation in housekeeping activities to keep up plant appearance and ensure it operates in an acceptable and safe manner. Participate in additional duties as required by the department team lead or manager.
Experience and Education:
Required:
Excellent/professional attitude. High mechanical aptitude. The ability to wear requisite PPE and lift 50 lbs. Ability to attend offsite training classes periodically. (1-2 full weeks per year, with proper notice)
Preferred:
Prior experience in reliability or maintenance related role. Prior experience with CMMS. (computerized maintenance management system) Knowledge and proficiency in MS Office applications. Strong written and verbal communication skills. #IND-123
