Job Description

Good morning, Our client in South Burlington VT is looking for a maintenance technician to join their team. As the Maintenance tech I, they need someone that would bring a base knowledge of the job and help the team pick up other minor jobs throughout the plant that are lower in priority but just as important, as well as help them doing repairs and maintenance in our equipment.

Shift:
3-11pm Job Description The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing proper maintenance procedures to promote the efficient and safe operation of production equipment, building systems and work areas. This role requires 2-4 years of hands-on experience and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining positive working relationships with others.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnoses machine/equipment malfunction and determines need for adjustment or repair. Works with other members of the maintenance team in major plant production equipment and systems repairs including pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, gears, sprockets, chains, stream control, air control systems, and boilers. Handles electrical repairs and installations by installing wires, motors, controllers, electrical fixtures and etc. to complete a work assignment. Troubleshooting PLC and AC frequency drives. Other duties/tasks assigned by direct supervisor or any managerial staff member.
Qualifications:
Two to four years of experience in electrical and mechanical diagnostic and repair in an industrial production environment. Accomplished in the use of a variety of test equipment and machine tools. Basic working knowledge of a P.C. - based parts and work order system is a plus. Demonstrated positive safety attitude. Individual must be quality conscious, detail oriented, self-motivated, reliable, and a team player. Ability to read electrical and mechanical print and diagrams, both domestic and foreign.
