In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and floor care tasks to ensure a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute significantly to the overall cleanliness and professionalism of our premises. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across all designated areas. Conduct detailed floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain high standards of shine and durability. Clean carpets thoroughly using appropriate carpet cleaning methods and equipment to remove stains and embedded dirt. Maintain janitorial supplies inventory, restock cleaning stations, and ensure all equipment is in good working order. Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent slips, trips, and falls while ensuring environmental safety standards are met. Collaborate with team members to complete special cleaning projects or deep cleans as scheduled or required. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management for immediate resolution. Skills Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with a focus on floor care. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning, buffing, waxing, and stripping floors. Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to thoroughness in all tasks. Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive cleaning motions throughout shifts. Effective communication skills for working within a team environment and following instructions precisely. Knowledge of safety procedures related to janitorial work and environmental services.
