Job Description

Hewescraft welded aluminum fishing boats have been built in Colville, Washington since 1948, and although the brand has become the #1-selling boat in the Pacific Northwest, the Hewes family has kept its production-line facility in the town where it was born. Maintenance Mechanic The Maintenance Mechanic assists with day-to-day maintenance activities within the company. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Lead and Facilities Supervisor.
Examples of Responsibilities:
Repair and preventative maintenance for capital equipment, production tools, facilities, and offices.
Education/Experience:
Desire a minimum of 5 years' experience in general maintenance work. Strong consideration for individuals with a background in manufacturing, with experience servicing large manufacturing equipment, power tools, fixtures, and jigs. Also seeking experience with facilities maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC equipment, etc. Must have the ability to create and maintain preventative maintenance schedules. Must have excellent troubleshooting skills, be willing to work odd hours, weekends, and holidays, if needed, to minimize impact to production, and have exceptional commitment to safety.

Operate forklift after training, operate truck, sometimes with trailer attached after training, operate all types of cleaning equipment Sitting seldomly to occasionally if driving truck or operating forklift Walking/Standing constantly Perform work from ladder seldomly/rarely Bend/Stoop/Squat/Kneel/Twist and climb stairs occasionally Reaching with one or both arms frequently Work above shoulders occasionally Wrist Flexing/Grasping frequently Fine Finger Manipulation occasionally Foot controls seldomly to occasionally while driving truck or operating forklift Lift up to 50 lbs. seldomly Lift up to 35 lbs. occasionally Lift up to 20 lbs. frequently Carry up to 15 lbs. frequently Push/pull frequently up to 50 lbs. force exerted

Chemical resistant gloves, cut resistant gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection - seldomly use half mask respirator

This position is a full-time, hourly position within Hewes Marine Company Work schedule Monday - Friday Some overtime and weekend work are required.
