Full Job Description Job Title:
Maintenance Technician (Electrical / Mechanical) Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and versatile Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a multi-craft role focused primarily on the electrical and mechanical upkeep of our facility and food processing systems. You will work under the direction of the Director of Manufacturing to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous field operations.
Key Responsibilities Equipment Setup:
Assist the production team with setting up the proper equipment for daily production runs.
Routine Maintenance:
Complete routine and preventative maintenance on all facility machinery.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and repair equipment issues, with a heavy emphasis on control-level electrical systems.
Mechanical Repairs:
Maintain and repair various pumps and motors, including PD, centrifugal, and general pumping equipment.
Facility Care:
Ensure the physical building and grounds are properly maintained.
Safety:
Maintain safe working conditions at all times and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Record Keeping:
Accurately record all maintenance tasks, diagnostics, and repairs completed.
Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
2+ years of experience in a food processing company is highly preferred.
Electrical Skills:
Strong emphasis on electrical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot issues rapidly.
Technical Literacy:
Ability to read and interpret complex electrical and mechanical diagrams.
System Knowledge:
Familiarity with pneumatics, boiler/steam systems, vacuum and water pumps, and ammonia refrigeration is preferred.
Soft Skills:
Excellent written and oral communication, problem-solving skills, and sound decision-making capabilities.
Independence:
Proven ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
Work Environment & Physical Demands Environment:
Work is performed directly inside a busy food production facility.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to sit, stand, crouch, and bend for long periods of time.
Strength:
Ability to lift heavy objects weighing greater than 50 pounds.
Schedule Flexibility:
Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary.
On-Call:
Subject to callouts to quickly respond to facility emergency situations.
Pay:
From $30.00 per hour
