We are seeking a skilled and reliable handyman to join our team. The majority of our work (about 95%) is in commercial environments such as retail stores, animal hospitals, and similar facilities . This role is ideal for someone dependable, professional, and experienced in multiple trades. Duties perform general maintenance and repair in commercial properties (retail stores, animal hospitals, offices) Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems Install, repair, and replace fixtures such as faucets, P-traps, door hardware, locks, and lighting Complete drywall repair, patching, painting, and minor finish work Handle door adjustments, installations, and repairs (hinges, closers, locks) Maintain and repair ceilings, tiles, and basic structural components Respond to service calls and complete jobs efficiently and on schedule Communicate clearly with clients regarding scope of work, issues, and solutions Ensure all work meets quality standards and safety requirements Keep job sites clean, organized, and professional at all times Manage tools, materials, and supplies needed for each job Work independently or as part of a team, depending on project needs Skills Solid knowledge of electrical systems (outlets, switches, lighting, basic troubleshooting) Experience with plumbing repairs (faucets, P-traps, toilets, leak fixes) Strong carpentry skills (door installation/repair, trim, hardware, framing basics) Ability to diagnose and fix maintenance issues efficiently Proficiency with hand tools and power tools Basic drywall repair and painting skills Ability to read and follow work orders and instructions Soft Skills Clear and professional communication skills with customers and team Punctual and dependable — shows up on time, every time Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail Good time management and ability to handle multiple jobs Professional attitude and clean work habits Bonus Skills (Preferred) Experience in commercial maintenance (retail stores, clinics, offices) Basic understanding of building codes and safety regulations Experience with light remodeling projects Ability to troubleshoot beyond surface-level issues Experience with plumbing repairs (faucets, P-traps, toilets, leak fixes) Strong carpentry skills (door installation/repair, trim, hardware, framing basics) Ability to diagnose and fix maintenance issues efficiently Proficiency with hand tools and power tools Basic drywall repair and painting skills Ability to read and follow work orders and instructions
