Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and versatile Property Maintenance Technician / Handyman to join our dynamic facilities team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will ensure that all building systems operate smoothly, repairs are completed efficiently, and the environment remains welcoming and well-kept. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and handyman skills in a fast-paced setting, making a tangible difference in property quality and resident satisfaction. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation. Perform general maintenance and repairs in occupied and vacant rental units Handle basic plumbing repairs (faucets, toilets, minor leaks, garbage disposals, etc.) Perform minor electrical repairs (light fixtures, switches, outlets) Drywall repair, patching, and painting Door, window, and lock repairs Appliance installation and minor repairs Turnover work between tenants (repairs, touch-ups, minor upgrades) Identify maintenance issues and report larger repair needs Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner Assist with facilities maintenance projects including welding, electrical upgrades, or mechanical installations as needed. Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant or resident concerns promptly and professionally. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance or handyman roles within residential or manufacturing environments. Prior experience in property maintenance, handyman services, or construction preferred Strong physical ability (must be able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor) Own truck and basic tools required Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge required (advanced skills are a plus) Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve independently Reliable, punctual, and professional Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with tenants
