Locations:
Shoreline & Woodinville, WA Ashley House NW is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support our Shoreline and Woodinville locations. Bridges to Home is Ashley House NW's newly opened 12-bed pediatric skilled nursing facility in Shoreline, developed in partnership with Seattle Children's Hospital. This program provides a much-needed alternative to prolonged hospital stays for medically complex children. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for general maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance, grounds support, vehicle upkeep, and light construction tasks to ensure our facilities remain safe, clean, functional, and compliant. This position may also assist with driving company vehicles for appointments, outings, and program needs. Key Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, appliances, and light construction. Complete preventive maintenance tasks using scheduled checklists. Troubleshoot facility, equipment, appliance, and safety concerns. Coordinate groundskeeping, snow and ice removal, contractor work, HVAC service, and approved repair projects. Support licensing inspection readiness and complete maintenance-related follow-up tasks. Maintain company vehicles, including cleanliness, repairs, service scheduling, and inspections. Drive company vehicles as needed for appointments, outings, and program support. Communicate clearly with managers, staff, vendors, contractors, and external partners. Escalate safety, repair, or compliance concerns promptly. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least two years of experience in general maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related field. Basic knowledge of home and facility repair, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and appliances. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and assist with heavier items. Valid Washington State driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to drive company vehicles in various weather conditions, including towing a utility trailer as needed. Ability to pass Washington State and FBI fingerprint background checks. Proof of required immunizations, including Tdap, flu, TB testing, and
COVID-19.
Current BLS/CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain as required. Basic computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint. Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer-service skills. Ability to work independently, follow through on tasks, and escalate concerns appropriately. Preferred Qualifications Experience in healthcare, residential care, skilled nursing, assisted living, group homes, or another regulated care setting. Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, inspections, or facility projects. Bilingual abilities.
