Facilities Maintenance Associate Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes Spokane, WA Job Details Full-time $23 - $27 an hour 7 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Life insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Dusting Landscape maintenance Window cleaning Mopping Facilities maintenance Full Job Description The Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes is seeking a motivated Facilities Maintenance Associate that performs general cleaning and minor maintenance duties in buildings, adjacent walks and grounds in a clean and orderly fashion. Aid staff, visitors, parishioners, and other employees as necessary. Perform all duties related to maintaining the general cleanliness and safety of the main Cathedral, adjacent buildings, restrooms, and back offices.

Work Schedule:

This is an hourly position, Sunday-Thursday, 7 hours per day.

Supervision:

The Facilities Maintenance Associate reports directly to the Plant Manager.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Performs work according to standard procedure and by the Cathedrals operational schedule. Assists with fulfilling the monthly/annual scheduled maintenance needs of the campus such as HVAC filter replacement, battery replacements, window cleaning, etc. Takes a proactive approach to janitorial and maintenance needs. Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, stairways, parking lots, and windows. Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors throughout Cathedral and adjacent buildings. Regularly check the trash receptacles, emptying as needed, in all areas of the campus. Collect, consolidate, and separate recycling into proper receptacles. Clean windows, rails and mirrored surfaces; polish stainless steel surfaces. Dust fixtures, shelves, and use products as needed. Maintain the cleanliness of numerous campus restrooms (including cleaning and policing as needed). Operate and sanitize all facilities in a safe and proper manner. Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices. Dust furniture and equipment. Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors, and sills. Empty waste baskets. Report work accomplished orally to supervisor daily.

Qualifications:

Building and grounds cleaning and maintenance work. Ability to carry out detailed oral or written instructions. An effective communicator with team members and staff. General household repairs. Painting. Landscape maintenance. Positively represent the Cathedral through a respectful, friendly, and courteous attitude. Demonstrate honest and ethical behavior.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds each. Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head. Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds. Walking in and around the facilities and campus grounds with great frequency. Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation. Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces. Occasionally work occurs in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.

Pay:

$23.00 - $27.00 per hour
