This position is located at our Sumner facility: 3324 142nd Ave East Suite 200 Sumner,Washington,98390 Shift N1: Sunday Monday Tuesday alt Wednesday 5:00 pm - 5:15 am The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of mechanical and electrical manufacturing equipment, while meeting productivity requirements and maintaining KDP's high standards in safety and quality.
Position Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe and healthy environment, demonstrating safe behaviors at all times. Focus on Good Manufacturing and Food Safety practices in all work. Analyze mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic or electrical problems and make repairs through adjustments, defective parts replacement, or fabrication. Wire moderately complex control circuits. Teach basic mechanical skills to line operators to support autonomous maintenance, TPM functions, equipment set-up and centerlining. Fabricate, repair, and install hangers and all types of piping including hot/cold water, steam, process and condensate, utilizing formulas for all phases. Ability to quickly learn to weld and machine metals, plastics, and composites. Fabricate or replicate minor pieces for the repair or replacement of parts on equipment. Complete size changeovers and troubleshoot liquid fillers and packaging equipment. Identify root causes of mechanical, electrical and control failures and resolve with effective problem-solving tools with minimal downtime or supervision. Troubleshoot and program minor changes in Allen Bradley PLC (SLC500, MicroLogix, CompactLogix and ControlLogix). Generate productivity and continuous improvement ideas. Total Rewards:
Pay starting at $41.76 per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $ 43.90 per hour in the quarter after their 6-month anniversary.
