Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. As part of our commitment to providing an exceptional guest experience, we are looking for an individual who is proactive, resourceful, and dedicated to maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of our hotel facilities.
Compensation:
$20.00 to $25.00

    Technical Knowledge:
    Proficient in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.

      Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.

        Skilled in prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

          Good verbal and written communication skills for reporting maintenance needs and interacting with guests and staff.
            Manual Dexterity:
            Comfortable with using various tools and machinery for repairs and maintenance.
              Teamwork:
              Ability to collaborate with other departments, ensuring smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
                Customer Service:
                Friendly, professional demeanor when interacting with guests and handling maintenance requests.
                  Physical Stamina:
                  Able to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects 50lbs+ and working in varied positions.
                    Adaptability:
                    Willingness to take on different types of tasks and adjust to changing work conditions.
                    Responsibilities:
                    • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on hotel equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other hotel amenities.
                    • Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
                    • Conduct inspections of all guest rooms, public spaces, and facilities to identify and resolve any maintenance concerns.
                    • Ensure the safe and effective operation of all building systems, including lighting, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, and electrical.
                    • Assist with room set-ups, furniture repairs, and general upkeep of the property.
                    • Maintain and update maintenance logs, documenting completed tasks and any ongoing issues.
                    • Coordinate with external contractors or vendors for specialized maintenance services, as needed.
                    • Ensure compliance with hotel safety protocols, building codes, and regulations.
                    • Participate in emergency preparedness and respond to any urgent maintenance needs during after-hours, as required.
                    Qualifications:
                    • Proven experience in building maintenance or a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
                    • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance techniques.
                    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently.
                    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
                    • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
                    • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
                    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
                    • Basic computer skills to log tasks and complete maintenance requests.
                    • Certification or relevant training in facility maintenance is a plus.
