Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on hotel equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other hotel amenities.
- Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
- Conduct inspections of all guest rooms, public spaces, and facilities to identify and resolve any maintenance concerns.
- Ensure the safe and effective operation of all building systems, including lighting, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, and electrical.
- Assist with room set-ups, furniture repairs, and general upkeep of the property.
- Maintain and update maintenance logs, documenting completed tasks and any ongoing issues.
- Coordinate with external contractors or vendors for specialized maintenance services, as needed.
- Ensure compliance with hotel safety protocols, building codes, and regulations.
- Participate in emergency preparedness and respond to any urgent maintenance needs during after-hours, as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in building maintenance or a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills to log tasks and complete maintenance requests.
- Certification or relevant training in facility maintenance is a plus.
