Job Description
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. 2.Certification/Licensure:
Must have a current Washington State Driver's License. 3.Experience:
One year general maintenance repair ability or experience in construction trades or building janitorial/maintenance preferred. 4.Language Skills:
English required. 5.Essential Technical/Motor Skills:
Must speak clearly and be able to handle/grip objects. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to read basic operating instructions and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Must have basic computer skills. Ability to proficiently use MS Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel) preferred. Ability to operate a two-way radio, electrical equipment, hand and power tools, hammers, drills, and precision measuring instruments. 6.Interpersonal Skills:
Good communication and interpersonal skills. Good client/customer service skills. Must be able to work independently and as a team member. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort. Ability to work effectively with a team. 7.Essential Physical Requirements:
Must be in good physical condition, ability to lift up to 50 pounds and leverage up to 70 pounds, with proper lifting techniques and obtaining assistance as needed. Frequent pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching/squatting, crawling, reaching, standing, holding, walking, lifting, carrying, twisting, and restraining. Ability to climb ladders and work comfortably on roof tops. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. 8.Essential Mental Abilities:
Calculations, manipulating and interpreting numbers, analyzing, assessing/evaluating, explaining, attention to detail, special/form perception, memory, problem solving and reasoning. Proper training and competency in utilizing all necessary tools and maintaining safety requirements by reading operating manuals/MSDS sheets, using protective clothing, and wearing safety gear. 9.Essential Sensory Requirements:
Ability to see, hear, feel, smell, verbally communicate and distinguish color. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to hear and verbally converse with others. 10. Exposure toHazards:
Exposure to or use of sharps and potentially dangerous assignments. Work in environments that have dust, fumes/odors. Working conditions will include temperature changes, extreme cold and heat. Will works both inside and outside. Requires working at high, precarious places. Requires working with power tools and motorized equipment. Exposed to high levels of noise, vibrations, mechanical, electrical and burn hazards, works up to 20 feet in height, and various atmospheric conditions. Blood/Fluid Exposure Risk Category I 1.
