Hotel Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and other maintenance for our Westport, WA motels and cabins. Maintenance techs are responsible for groundskeeping, painting and sheetrock repairs, minor electrical and plumbing, troubleshooting small engines and appliance malfunctions, repairing and assembling furnishings, and far more. This position is highly variable and rarely are two days the same. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge, have attention to detail and knowledge in the Hospitality and/or Property Maintenance. You must also possess manual dexterity and physical stamina, availability on weekends and on call as needed. Responsibilities Perform fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc. Knowledge of electrical wiring, construction knowledge to identify issues Install appliances and equipment as needed Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing the lawn, collecting trash, weatherproofing, and always keeping grounds safe and neat for guests Conduct maintenance tasks/ assignments as directed by General Manager Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation) Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm) Collaboration with housekeeping and Front Desk as directed by General Manager Complete work orders/ maintenance requests daily Report directly to the General Manager Requirements and skills Proven experience in Maintenance of hotel/ and or similar experience preferred. Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, construction/ buildings Experience using hand and electrical tools, landscaping equipment Ability to read technical manuals and drawings as needed Very good communication and interpersonal skills Physical stamina and dexterity High school diploma or equivalent Use of own tools Customer Focused/ Customer Service oriented This position has somewhat variable hours depending on occupancy and season. We are looking for someone who desires a long-term position and is willing to show initiative and is motivated to prove themselves. Pay:

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
