Job Description

Baldwin Care Center campus is seeking a Maintenance Technician/Transport Driver to join our senior living community team. The technician works under the direction of the Environmental Services Director. Baldwin Care Center, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation offering services in two different settings on the campus including 23-unit independent elderly apartments and a 50-bed skilled nursing facility. Baldwin Care Center provides a competitive salary based on market data and benefits including paid time off, medical, dental, life and disability insurance. Applicants should possess the following qualifications: Has any experience or working knowledge of basic maintenance, plumbing and painting. Ability to work alone and make independent decisions regarding maintenance items. Current driver's license with a good driving record. High school diploma or GED equivalence. Related experience at a level necessary to accomplish the job. Prior healthcare experience is preferred Basic understanding of computer technology. Must have flexibility, personal integrity and ability to work effectively with residents, coworkers, family members and the general public Responsibilities include: Maintain facility equipment (Preventive maintenance) Maintain facility grounds (lawn care, snow removal, etc.) Maintain floors and walls to be free from hazards and any visual surface flaws Assist facility staff, residents, and family members moving large items using the proper equipment Repair minor plumbing and electrical problems Carry out duties in a safe and professional manner Transport residents to and from medical appointments or drive for activity department resident outings
Pay:
From $21.20 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 40.0 per week
