Job Summary (Will train the right candidate)We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual for the position of assisting in Strip and Wax Floor Maintenance. Will work with 2 other employees and we provide transportation from our shop in Cameron to locations.. This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of several facilities, ensuring that all flooring surfaces are properly cared for. The ideal candidate will have experience in floor care and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality janitorial services. NOTE
- this is a temporary position in that it's not a regular schedule, we are in our busy time of the year and need an xtra hand to help assist 2 other employees with these jobs.
Mostly all evening work , week nights and weekend schedules . We are very busy throughout spring and summer to early fall . If your wanting to stay on with us in a janitorial cleaning commercial buildings position, we can offer these positions as they become available pay rate will depend on experience and dependability for these positions and is not the same as strip and wax position. We will give increased pay on yearly evaluation. Will be trained in carpet cleaning as well. Rate of pay is determined on experience and dependability And Job ethics. Must have working cell phone and good dependable transportation. Zero tolerance to Drugs and Alcohol abuse and must pass drug testing Clean driving record is a plus ! Evenings and some weekends required. We can provide training as noted above this will be paid training if employed for 90 days. Must give two weeks notice if employee resigns Responsibilities Perform stripping and waxing of various types of flooring surfaces to maintain their appearance and longevity. Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, including buffing and polishing floors. Execute carpet cleaning as needed to ensure all areas are presentable and hygienic. Utilize appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment safely and effectively. Maintain cleanliness in all work areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently while adhering to schedules. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. Qualifications Previous experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred, particularly in commercial cleaning environments. Knowledge of floor care techniques, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with environmental services practices is a plus. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
