• Up to $32/hr Job Description We are looking for a strong Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a stable, family-owned film converting operation in the Darien area.

This is hands-on work keeping high-value extrusion coaters, laminators, slitters, and winders running at peak performance. Pay & Schedule Up to $32/hr based on experience 4×10-12 hour days with 2 midnights (some flexibility available) Full benefits including IHCRA health plan (age-based credit toward HMO options) and 401k match Core Responsibilities & Requirements Heavy mechanical focus: gearbox rebuilds, bearing/shaft/gear pulls & replacements, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and fabrication Must be able to design, lay out, and weld items such as safety rails, brackets, and guards Some electrical experience (even residential level) is helpful along with 480V motor controls Calm, solution-focused mindset when equipment goes down — collaborate first, improve later 3-5+ years industrial maintenance experience Reliable transportation and clean background check Any extrusion (film, sheet, tube, or plastics) experience is a major advantage Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a big plus for night shift crossover This is a visible role in a small-crew environment where your work gets noticed and makes a direct impact on production uptime. We Also Have a First Shift Advanced Maintenance Opening Same company, primarily straight 1st shift with voluntary OT only.
