Job Description

Objectives:
The purpose of this position is to reinforce safe workplace habits, and to serve as the primary person responsible for planning & performing maintenance tasks on Company equipment and facilities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine safety checks in all departments and on Company premises. Ensure compliance by reporting and correcting any violations of safety policies.
  • Monitor & correct any violations of food safety practices.
  • Schedule & perform maintenance and safety checks on all equipment.
  • Schedule & perform repairs on the interior & exterior of Company buildings.
  • Schedule maintenance on Company vehicles.
  • Assist with installing new equipment.
  • Develop effective new production processes and analyze existing production processes for efficiency & improvements.
  • Assist with training of employees on new equipment or production processes.
  • Oversee & perform repairs on all equipment.
  • Perform basic electrical, plumbing and heating & cooling work.
  • Perform maintenance on air compressors and pumps.
  • Use your prior experience with gear boxes and motors to work on them.
  • Complete all paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Drive products or ingredients to or from other sites.
  • Obtain quotes on service for various equipment.
  • Assist in the shipping & production departments when needed.
Job Essentials:
  • Must be able to stand on one's feet for up to eight hours (with periods of intermittent sitting).
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, sometimes regularly throughout the day.
  • Ability to operate Company van and/or forklift in accordance with applicable law. Must hold a valid Wisconsin driver's license.
  • Maneuver a pallet jack carrying up to 2500lbs of product, including pushing and pulling.
  • Fine motor skills to perform maintenance tasks without error.
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, or stoop as necessary to perform maintenance functions and/or retrieve product & materials.
  • Emotional maturity and resilience to respond respectfully & effectively to various people and situations.
  • Must be physically present at the work site to perform the functions of this job.
