Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Maintenance Engineer, where you will be the cornerstone of ensuring our property operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to manage automated building systems efficiently. Conduct residential painting tasks as needed to maintain the hotel's aesthetic appeal and structural integrity. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for scheduling, tracking, and reporting purposes. Supervise maintenance staff or contractors during projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed to standard. Respond promptly to guest requests or service calls related to facilities issues, providing excellent customer service with a positive attitude. Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to facilitate repairs or upgrades of complex systems. Lead small teams during facilities projects or repairs, demonstrating leadership skills and ensuring timely completion. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a hospitality or residential setting, with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing environments. Demonstrated supervisory or team-leading experience in maintenance operations. Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues. Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), welding techniques, and residential painting is highly desirable. Strong electrical experience complemented by understanding of schematics and electrical safety standards. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and effective teamwork. Prior experience with CMMS software for maintenance management is preferred.
