Job Description

The Maintenance Technician - 3 is responsible for diagnosing and repairing all electrical and mechanical problems in the assigned area and across the plant as needed. This role requires flexibility to work in other areas based on business necessity and involves troubleshooting complex systems to ensure operational efficiency. Strong computer, mechanical and math aptitude. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Time management and organizational skills. Ability to work with internal and external customers. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Problem-solving, adaptability, and decision-making abilities. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate respectfully in a team setting. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Manufacturing experience preferred. Training experience preferred. Ability to pass pre-employment screenings. Training timeline for this position is up to 12 weeks or more. Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems plant-wide. Repair and maintain sawdust collection, compressed air, steam boiler, and electrical distribution systems. Utilize computerized maintenance management systems for maintenance tracking. Perform scheduled job orders, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs. Maintain a valid powered industrial vehicle (PIV) license if applicable. Support and participate in process improvement workshops. Demonstrate flexibility in work hours, including overtime as needed. Comply with all safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures. Rotate to other positions as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.
