JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of the Maintenance Technician - Lift Specialist position is to provide highly diversified technical skills to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment. This position works in a team environment with other departments and personnel to coordinate efficient measures to correct and/or improve desired tasks. The Maintenance Technician - Lift Specialist works to maintain compliance of company policies and procedures, GMP's, Safety and quality standards, food safety measures, OSHA and other safety regulations. This role will also operate within Redzone software comfortably by navigating through the different communication locations and work order systems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, etc.
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments to production machine and plant facility's equipment.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Computer competency with Microsoft Office products.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- 3+ years of experience working on lifts.
- Experience in the food industry preferred but not required
WORKING AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
- This position works in a fast-paced plant manufacturing/warehouse environment.
- Exposure to moving machinery such as forklifts and production equipment.
- Exposure to loud noise from moving forklifts and production equipment.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures.
