Job Description

Overview As an Electromechanical Maintenance Technician at MEC, you will be responsible for a variety maintenance activities multiple sites, primarily in Mayville. As a Maintenace Technician, you will perform routine maintenance, tool work on plant equipment, install/repairs equipment and components. Excellent opportunity for an experienced Technician that has a variety experience with all metal fabrication, welding and machining workcenters. Responsibilities Performs complex troubleshooting of electrical/mechanical equipment Modifies programming of robots and related equipment such as robot controller and programmable controllers Installs equipment, components and systems with and without outside services Plans, builds and installs new machinery at an engineering level Advises manufacturing of suggestions that would optimize production and minimize downtime and scrap Recognizes safety hazards on equipment and in the plant and initiates corrective action Follows lockout/tag out procedures and all safety rules in the facility Performs and maintains preventative maintenance program Requisitions and keeps supply of spare parts: knowledge of proper purchasing procedures Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew Ability to interpret electrical/mechanical sketches, schematics, diagrams, blueprints and technical documentation Knowledge of applicable electrical codes normally found in a manufacturing environment Maintains good housekeeping Must have ability to perform duties and responsibilities of lower maintenance classifications Qualifications Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with emphasis in electrical training: or five or more years of related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience. Journeyman electrician certification preferred but not required. Valid ForkLift License or able to obtain a forklift license.
