Regional Facilities Technician - Green Bay area Goodwill NCW Jobs 1800 Appleton Road, Menasha, WI 54952 Full-time Full-time How this Role Supports our Mission of Elevating People by Eliminating Barriers to Employment While receiving leadership support from the Facilities Supervisors, the Regional Facilities Technician will advance our mission by leading broad variety of maintenance tasks to ensure that Goodwill facilities operate effectively and reliably to meet business needs. This role will manage specific initiatives at assigned locations to improve various aspects of each facility. The Regional Facilities Technician will ensure all activities are performed in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision, values and brand of Goodwill NCW. Key Responsibilities Completes routine preventive maintenance on buildings according to checklists provided and makes modifications to maintenance programs as necessary. Performs general facility support tasks related to one or multiple functions, including but not limited to basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, drywall, flooring and furniture and equipment moves. Completes regular safety walkthroughs, regular facility inspections and assists safety champions by monitoring and repairing facilities to mitigate risk. Reviews and troubleshoots reported facility issues, ensuring problems are properly defined, documented, and either resolved or escalated further to facilities leadership for assistance. Receives and prioritizes open items and service requests and provides response aligned with defined Service Level Agreements. Maintains detailed records of repair and maintenance activities and maintains integrity of facility maintenance software. Plans and coordinates required third party inspections of facility related equipment, such as with local fire departments. Coordinates assigned activities with outside contractors and vendors, such as snow removal, as needed. Leads and participates in various facility improvement projects. Ensures equipment and tools are maintained in a neat, clean, and organized fashion. Education, Skills & Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of experience with facility maintenance or related field is preferred. Valid drivers license and clean driving record. Basic math skills. At least a basic level of competency with Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint. At least a basic level of competency with computers and facility maintenance software. Strong customer service skills, organizational skills, and communication skills. Logical decision making and troubleshooting skills with the ability to problem solve in a timely manner. Ability to remain calm and courteous in demanding situations. Excellent time management and prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Willingness and ability to work various hours which may include evenings and weekends. Ability to effectively work independently and with a group. Forklift certification is preferred but will train. Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work performed at times will be either in a standard office environment with extensive team member contact and frequent interruptions or in the field where you must be physically able to do moderate physical exertion over a long period of time. Will handle heavy loads at times. Ability to utilize tools and operate equipment in a safe manner. Primary function requires sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a shop area, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, twist, lift, carry, push and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight. Verbally communicate to exchange information.
