Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled, proactive, and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team at Callenor Paper and Tube Company on 1st shift. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and facility management tasks throughout our manufacturing environment to ensure operational efficiency, equipment reliability, and workplace safety. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently, possess strong mechanical, electrical, and schematic-reading knowledge, demonstrate leadership qualities, and work collaboratively with other employees. This position offers an excellent opportunity to apply technical expertise and hands-on problem-solving skills in a fast-paced manufacturing setting while contributing directly to the success and productivity of our operations. Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal operation. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections as required. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using tools such as ohmmeters and schematics. Conduct welding repairs and operate a Lathe and Bridgeport CNC. Perform general carpentry and painting as needed for facility upkeep. Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to monitor. Maintain outdoor grounds, along with snow removal at all entrances. Maintain all maintenance inventory and tools for the facility. Assist with construction or renovation projects as needed, supporting installation or upgrade of equipment and infrastructure. Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during complex maintenance projects to ensure timely completion. Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or maintenance certification preferred Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of industrial equipment, machinery, and hand/power tools Experience with preventative maintenance programs and equipment troubleshooting Ability to perform equipment repair efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Ability to work independently while also demonstrating a strong team-oriented mindset in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Leadership ability and willingness to assist and support production employees as needed Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, climbing, and reaching throughout the shift Join us as a Maintenance Technician and become an essential part of our mission to keep operations running smoothly! Pay:
$25.00 - $27.00 per hour
