Maintenance Technician Job Description As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing operating problems on a variety of regular and complex machines and equipment. You will utilize tools such as voltage meters, ohm meters, phase rotation testers, micrometers, torque wrenches, gauge blocks, precision squares, oscilloscopes, and laser equipment for diagnostic and repair purposes. You will work from drawings, specifications, and schematics to perform skilled fitting of bearings and spindles, align machine components, and machine complicated replacement parts. Responsibilities Diagnose operating problems on various machines and equipment. Use diagnostic tools for repair and alignment purposes. Work from drawings, specifications, and schematics. Fit bearings and spindles and align machine components. Machine replacement parts requiring complex setups. Perform electrical installation and maintenance on plant systems. Install complex wiring circuits and distribution centers. Diagnose and repair electronic controls using relay and digital logic. Contact vendors or service technicians for machine issues. Perform millwright duties for equipment installation and removal. Essential Skills Experience in maintenance technician repair and maintenance. Knowledge of electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical repair. Proficiency in troubleshooting and schematic interpretation. Ability to perform preventive maintenance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop routings, and engineering notes. Basic math and trigonometry skills. Mechanical and electrical knowledge and repair abilities. Certifications in OSHA programs and practices preferred. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Menomonee Falls, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $37.00/hr.
