You will be part of a team who ensures that your colleagues have the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to budget. A great maintenance engineer will have a solid understanding of plumbing and basic electrical systems, as well as pool maintenance, carpentry, and other crafts. They will be well-versed in the maintenance process and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye on the buildings condition as well as great communication between departments to ensure the tasks are completed. The goal is to ensure the company facilities are well-cared for and adequate to support the company's business operations. This position has a weekend requirement. Responsibilities As a team, ensure maintenance procedures are being followed and adhered to Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues Check and maintain hotels pool chemicals and condition As a team, oversee all repair and installation activities Perform Preventative Maintenance in all hotel guest rooms and public areas Monitor equipment inventory and keep equipment in top shape Monitor expenses and report needs to Chief Engineer Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities Ensure health and safety policies are complied with Respond to radio calls for guest needs and deliver solutions to maintenance related issues Basic appliance repair and upkeep Walk the property and ensure cleanliness and tidiness at all times This position has a weekend requirement. Skills Proven experience in a maintenance related position Experience working with pools Some understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, painting, carpentry, basic electrical systems, etc. Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment Ability to keep track of and report on activity Excellent communication and interpersonal skills CPO Certified is a plus
