Light Floor Grinding Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Light Floor Grinding Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating specialized floor grinding equipment to achieve smooth, high-quality surfaces on various flooring materials. Your expertise will help ensure the production of flawless finishes that meet strict quality standards. Responsibilities Operate light-duty floor grinding machines safely and efficiently to prepare surfaces for finishing or coating applications Set up and calibrate grinding equipment according to project specifications and material requirements Inspect floors regularly during operation to ensure consistent quality and adherence to specifications Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify surface smoothness and levelness Maintain equipment by performing routine cleaning, adjustments, and minor repairs as needed Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and machine safeguards Document work progress, inspection results, and any issues encountered during operations for quality control records Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating floor grinding machinery or similar equipment Familiarity with manufacturing processes, fabrication techniques, and materials handling in a factory setting Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications accurately Proficiency with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control instruments Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments Knowledge of safety standards related to machinery operation and factory environments Experience with tools such as hand tools, power tools, or fabrication equipment is a plus Ability to work collaboratively within an assembly line or production team environment Join us as a Light Floor Grinding Operator if you're passionate about craftsmanship, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute your skills in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
