Job Description
Maintenance Technician Job Details Description The Maintenance Technician position requires knowledge of CNC's, presses, machines, saws, motors, pumps, and welding equipment to best maintain and repair production equipment throughout our facilities, as well as general facility maintenance experience. The Maintenance Technician will service internal customers by reviewing, responding, and closing out work requests submitted to E-Maint in a timely manner. A flexible work schedule, including working different shifts and weekends as needed, may be expected. Regular and predictable attendance and a commitment to adhering to OBE's safety policies and procedures are essential functions of this role. Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements

- Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Ability to understand and work from mechanical and electrical prints
- Experience with CNC and PLC systems
- Some welding and pipe fitting experience is preferred
- Knowledge of local chemical waste removal codes
- Experience working with shop power tools, welding equipment, and test equipment
- Experience with forklift and scissor lift desired
- Adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) and Safety Program protocols. Qualifications

- Technical Diploma/Associate's Degree or applicable experience. Work Environment
- Noise levels in the work environment can be moderate to high
- The plant facility is subject to the same general climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity)
- Chemicals, dust, pollen, and other typical airborne particulate matter are present within the atmosphere of the production floor and may create some odors in the plant. The Company, to provide its employees with a safe and healthy working environment, limits exposure to chemicals through written procedures, engineering controls, and PPE
- Exposure to chemicals/fumes, pinch points, exposure to excessive noise, strain/sprain, laceration/puncture, particulate exposure, contusion, temperature extremes, slipping, burns, shock, loss of limbs
- While the chemical exposure and odors are under acceptable levels set by OSHA and ANSI, they nevertheless, can be smelled and are handled according to the company's hazardous communication program
- Personal Protective Equipment is required to be worn per position/ OBE's safety program standards. Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, bend, twist, carry, walk, and reach frequently
- Ability to lift/move 50 pounds intermittently
- Ability to stand and walk on a concrete floor; wearing steel-toed shoes with internal metatarsal guards for eight to ten hours per day
