Job DescriptionGeneral SummaryThis position works under general supervision and is primarily responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing production equipment and machinery. Conduct maintenance of building facilities as needed to maintain groundskeeping standards. Principal Duties And ResponsibilitiesEnsures optimum up-time of all production equipment and machinery by trouble shooting, diagnosing and repairing any problems in the most cost efficient and timely manner.
Coordinates with production the repair or the preventative maintenance of production equipment and machinery utilizing machine manuals and diagrams to minimize down time.
Designs and implement preventative maintenance systems, procedures and methods.
Maintains, diagnoses and repairs the building and all its components.
Completes all required paperwork using Good Documentation Practices.
Working ConditionsWorking environment includes a production unit and includes frequent exposures to wet, humid, dusty, or loud conditions, a hot boiler room, moving machine parts, fumes or airborne particles, and caustic chemicals. Seasonally, some infrequent light work will be required in cold outdoor weather conditions. A company
Ability to read and follow basic building diagrams and schematics.
Ability to understand basic Machine manuals and diagrams.
Experience in using Lock Out Tag Out to isolate all potential energy (Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic Etc..)Possess a working knowledge of computers with an ability to operate basic controls for equipment operation and creation of documents in Word or Excel.
Ability to use basic hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, wrench) for assembly and disassembly of equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers regarding the status of a mechanical project.
Experience with PD, Pneumatic pumps, and three
Should be a self-starter that can prioritize their workday and function with minimal direct supervision.
These characteristics are normally acquired through a High school diploma or GED, with one-year certificate from a technical school, and 1 to 3 years related experienceExperience using a CMMS system to create and complete work orders.
Experience working at height, including scissor lifts, rooftops, and on top of process tanks.
Experience using forklifts.
