8:00am-4:00pm QPS Employment Group is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to support a local manufacturing facility in Walworth, WI. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, and making both mechanical and electrical repairs to ensure production runs safely and efficiently. This is a direct hire opportunity. Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on production equipment such as conveyors, presses, and hydraulic systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues
  • Maintain and repair facility infrastructure, including HVAC, lighting, and utilities
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and relocations
  • Document maintenance activities, part usage, and repairs
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and promote a safe work environment
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus
  • Basic PLC or control system knowledge preferred
  • Welding or fabrication experience preferred
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance or industrial mechanic role
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting (motors, switches, sensors)
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various temperatures
  • Flexibility for occasional weekend or off-shift work based on production needs
