Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing blow-molding machines, grinders, and conveyors. You will repair any breakdowns and change out cylinders and valves. The role includes minor MIG welding and performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs, with a focus on mechanical but also assisting with electrical tasks if you have the experience. You will conduct mold and tooling changes, diagnose equipment failures, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime. The ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and electrical diagrams is essential, along with general building maintenance tasks such as lighting, minor plumbing, and HVAC support. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair blow-molding machines, grinders, and conveyors. Repair breakdowns and change out cylinders and valves. Perform minor MIG welding tasks. Conduct electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs. Assist with electrical tasks as needed. Conduct mold and tooling changes. Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and electrical diagrams. Perform general building maintenance including lighting, plumbing, and HVAC support. Essential Skills Troubleshooting and mechanical skills. Experience with hydraulics and maintenance in blow molding or injection molding. 1+ years of maintenance experience. Electrical and welding skills. Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues. Work Environment The work environment is not climate-controlled, which means it can get hot in the summer. Gatorade and water are supplied to the shop floor to help with this. The facility is a dirtier and dusty environment. The shift hours are from 1-2pm to 10-11pm for maintenance only. Overtime is available every weekend, and it is on a full-shift basis. While not mandatory, it may become so if there are not enough volunteers. Maintenance technicians are on call once a month on a rotational schedule, which will extend to every 6 weeks once more technicians are hired. Technicians can handle troubleshooting over the phone, but if they need to come into the facility, they are compensated each time. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Walworth, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
