Industrial Maintenance Technician

About the Role As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will serve as a critical technical expert responsible for the reliability and performance of heavy plant machinery. You will leverage your expertise in mechanical repair, precision welding, and equipment installation to minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency across our facility. Responsibilities Execute complex repairs, fabrication, and assembly of industrial systems including conveyors, crushers, and rotating equipment. Perform advanced diagnostics on mechanical components to determine the most effective path for restoration or replacement. Utilize MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques to fabricate custom parts and improve structural integrity of machinery. Manage the safe rigging, movement, and precise installation of heavy industrial units using overhead cranes and specialized tools. Interpret technical blueprints and schematics to guide equipment modifications and preventative maintenance tasks. Collaborate with cross-functional maintenance teams to resolve emergency breakdowns and perform root cause analysis. Maintain high standards of safety while operating in challenging environments, including elevated heights or confined spaces. Qualifications Required Skills High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 4 years of experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing maintenance environment. Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, equipment installation, and industrial rigging. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex technical blueprints. Valid driver's license and ability to pass a technical skills assessment. Preferred Skills Advanced certification or training in welding (MIG/TIG/SMAW). Experience working with PLCs, VFDs, and industrial motor control systems. Proficiency in operating heavy machinery such as forklifts, aerial lifts, and overhead cranes. Strong background in hydraulics and pneumatics system maintenance.
