Job Description

This position is classified as General Maintenance I (GM I) for applicants without a trades license. Applicants holding a valid Electrician trades license will be considered for the General Maintenance II (GM II) level. This position performs a wide range of skilled maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. The practices preventive maintenance of tools and equipment and follows federal regulations governing safety, environmental protection, hazardous waste disposal, and the use of chemicals and materials common to facilities maintenance or construction.

Salary Grade 4 Salary Type Salary Time Type Full-Time Qualifications Must be able to perform all essential job duties as outlined in the job description. Required Qualifications Education High School Diploma/GED Driver's License Journeyman Electrician License (Must obtain WV Journeyman Electrician License w/in 6 months of employment). Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program OR equivalent technical training/on-the-job training. Experience 1 year of experience performing skilled electrical work OR an equivalent combination of related experience, Facilities and Operations/Internship experience, education, and training. Preferred Qualifications Education State Issued Licensed in a Mechanical Trade. Completion of a vocational or technical training program in electrical systems, industrial electricity, or building trades.
