Floor Care Technician

Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning of all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and spot cleaning to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Conduct specialized carpet cleaning procedures using appropriate equipment and solutions to remove stains and embedded dirt. Buff and polish hard floors to restore shine and protect surfaces from wear and tear. Operate commercial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, extractors, and vacuums efficiently and safely. Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining environmental sustainability practices. Monitor floor conditions regularly to identify areas needing repair or additional attention, reporting issues promptly. Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage and disposal of chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines. Requirements Proven experience in janitorial or custodial services with a focus on floor care in commercial or institutional environments. Knowledge of various cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning, buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing floors. Ability to operate commercial cleaning machinery safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering thorough cleaning results. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during shifts. Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy equipment or supplies, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday. Familiarity with environmental services standards and best practices for maintaining safe, clean facilities.
