Facilities & Equipment Maintenance Technician/ Handyman

Overview Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad is looking for a Facilities & Equipment Maintenance Technician/ Handyman to support the upkeep and day‑to‑day functionality of property, buildings and equipment. This role plays an important part in keeping our assets maintained and operating safely, efficiently and effectively. This position will play a part in general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for employees and guests. Duties Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing components. Needs to be able to work on passenger cars and other equipment. Conduct repairs using welding techniques and mechanical knowledge to address equipment malfunctions or damages. Perform various operational or grounds related projects. Willingness and physical ability to perform labor intensive tasks. Maintain records of maintenance activities. Work in and around rail cars and guest depot area. On call availability as needed and adjust to seasonal scheduling needs. Experience Basic understanding of facility maintenance practices or related hands-on skills. Comfortable using standard maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies. Ability to troubleshoot issues and assist in resolving maintenance problems efficiently. Previous experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC is a plus. Potomac Eagle is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
