Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Property Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of residential and commercial properties through comprehensive maintenance and repair activities. Your expertise will help create a comfortable, efficient environment for residents, tenants, and staff alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance skills in a fast-paced setting while providing exceptional customer service. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and electrical systems to ensure optimal operation. Conduct welding repairs, residential painting, and other general carpentry tasks to maintain property aesthetics and safety standards. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to track work orders, maintenance schedules, and inventory management. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to accurately diagnose problems and execute repairs. Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed efficiently. Use tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and troubleshooting to identify faults accurately. Lead or support team members in maintenance tasks while fostering a collaborative environment focused on quality service. Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant concerns promptly and professionally. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety guidelines and best practices at all times. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or property management roles with a focus on residential or commercial properties. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding, electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting PLCs. Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management is preferred. Demonstrated ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately. Supervising or leadership experience is a plus, showcasing your ability to guide teams effectively. Knowledge of manufacturing processes or industrial maintenance can be advantageous but not required. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and customer interactions. Experience with residential painting techniques is desirable but not mandatory.
