Our main market is in Anchorage Alaska, our other contract is in Eastern Montana (Sidney MT). We pay for travel to either location and lodging expenses. Duties Install, maintain, and repair telecommunication lines, nodes, and fiber optic cables using hand tools and power tools. Perform fiber splicing with precision to ensure optimal data transmission quality for high-speed internet and telephony services. Read schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute cabling layouts in accordance with IT infrastructure standards. Climb poles or towers using safety harnesses and climbing techniques to install or troubleshoot network infrastructure. Conduct system testing on LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), Ethernet connections, low voltage wiring, and electrical circuits to verify proper operation. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to network infrastructure, computer networking, telephony systems, or electrical components. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including diagrams, schematics, inspection reports, and compliance documentation. Familiarity with hand tools (e.g., pliers, wire strippers) and power tools used in construction or cabling projects. Ability to climb poles or towers safely using climbing gear; prior climbing certification is a plus, but not necessary. Electrical experience including low voltage systems, power distribution setups, or electrical troubleshooting is highly desirable. This energetic role invites motivated individuals eager to develop their technical skills while contributing to essential communication networks. We value safety-minded professionals who thrive in outdoor environments and are committed to delivering top-tier service in telecommunications and electrical infrastructure projects!
