Job Description

Low Voltage Cable Technician -
Access Control Systems Pay:
$20-$28 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
Day shift |
Monday-Thursday:
9‑hour shifts |
Friday:
half day We're seeking a Low Voltage Cable Technician with hands-on experience working with control panels and access control systems. In this role, you'll be responsible for wiring and terminations inside control panels, troubleshooting circuits, and testing electrical components to ensure systems function properly. This position is ideal for someone comfortable using multimeters, reading basic schematics, and working with switches and relays in a low-voltage environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Wire and terminate low-voltage control panels for door access control systems Test electricity using multimeters to verify voltage, continuity, and functionality Work with relays, switches, and other control components Assist with troubleshooting and verifying proper system operation Follow safety standards and installation best practices
Requirements:
Experience as a low-voltage technician or similar role Familiarity with access control systems and control panel wiring Comfortable using multimeters and basic electrical testing tools Knowledge of switches, relays, and low-voltage electrical systems Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, AL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
