Job Description
Overview As a Cable/Aerial Technician, you will be responsible for pulling, testing, and terminating CAT5e/6a and or Fiber Optic cabling, installing cable support structures as well as various kinds of A/V, security, and/or DAS devices on a commercial construction site. Responsibilities Be responsible for pulling, testing, and terminating CAT5e/6a and/or Fiber Optic cabling on an active construction site Install various kinds of devices such as speakers, projectors, displays, WAPs, card readers, access control devices (strikes, locks, or crash bars), transmitters, receivers, and DAS equipment. Attend mandatory safety meetings, as well as maintain strict adherence to company and client safety standards. Accurately label cabling consistent with PM or foreman instruction Assist other team members whenever necessary to efficiently complete the installation Adhere to company policies and established procedures
Qualifications Physical Stamina:
The role requires lifting 50-115 pounds and standing or walking for extended periods. Comfort withHeights:
Technicians must work confidently from ladders, scaffolding, scissor lifts, and cranes at heights up to 135 feet.Technical Expertise:
A strong understanding of electrical circuits, DMX wiring, and CAD drawings (lighting plots) is essential for correct installation.HID / HPS
Knowledge:
Proficient withHID / HPS
work and LED conversion options.Electrical:
Must understand and be able to troubleshoot voltages ranging from 12V DC to 480V AC Tooling:
