Landscape Technician - Telecom Cable InstallationPosition Overview We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Landscape Technicians to assist with residential telecom cable installations and underground cable placement. This position involves burying telecom/fiber cables in residential neighborhoods while maintaining a clean, professional appearance and protecting customer property at all times. This is steady, year-round work for motivated individuals who take pride in quality workmanship and efficiency. Responsibilities Bury telecom/fiber cables approximately 6" deep in residential yards Carefully follow existing wire paths and utility markings Perform clean trenching with minimal disturbance to landscaping Complete occasional sidewalk and driveway bores when required Restore disturbed areas neatly after installation Use a mobile app to receive work orders, follow job instructions, document completed work, and close out jobs Communicate professionally with homeowners and supervisors when necessary Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently Requirements Must own a truck or SUV capable of transporting tools and equipment Must provide basic landscaping/hand tools Strong attention to detail and ability to work carefully around existing utilities, irrigation systems, and landscaping Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment/materials as needed Reliable transportation and dependable work ethic required Experience with trenching, telecom construction, landscaping, or underground utilities preferred, but willing to train the right individual Compensation Hourly pay or piece-rate compensation available Higher earnings potential for technicians who demonstrate: Speed Quality workmanship Reliability Low damage callbacks Additional Information Consistent work available for top performers Opportunity for long-term work and advancement Serious applicants only Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who: Works efficiently without sacrificing quality Takes pride in clean installations Is self-motivated and dependable Understands the importance of protecting customer property Can work independently and complete jobs accurately with minimal supervision
