Position Overview:
Elite Security & Surveillance is seeking an experience, dependable and customer-focused Commercial Security Systems Technician to join our growing team. We specialize in commercial burglar alarm systems, IP video surveillance, access control, fire alarm systems, and structured cabling throughout San Diego County. This position involves installation, service, troubleshooting, programming, and maintenance of commercial low-voltage security systems. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, can work independently, and represents our company professionally.
Responsibilities:
Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial burglar alarm systems, IP CCTV/surveillance systems, access control systems, intercom systems, and low-voltage cabling. Program and troubleshoot equipment from DMP, DSC, Honeywell, Hikvision, Axis, Hanwha, Brivo, Potter, and similar manufacturers. Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation plans. Diagnose system issues and provide effective solutions. Communicate professionally with customers. Complete service documentation accurately. Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory. Follow all safety procedures and company standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of commercial security system installation and service experience. Strong knowledge of burglar alarms, CCTV/IP video, access control, and low-voltage wiring. Experience programming commercial alarm systems. Ability to troubleshoot independently. Good computer and networking skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record. Clean criminal background. Ability to drive a manual (standard transmission) vehicle. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely use ladders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with DMP, Hikvision, Axis, Hanwha, Brivo, Potter, Honeywell, or DSC systems. Networking experience (TCP/IP, PoE switches, routers). OSHA 10 certification. Low-voltage or electrical certifications. Fire alarm experience is a plus.

$28.00-$35.00 per hour, depending on experience.
