Driver's License Driving Low voltage Full Job Description About Us Wired Low Voltage Inc. is a leading low-voltage integration company specializing in structured cabling & security camera systems, for both residential and commercial clients across San Diego California. We take pride in clean, professional installations and next-level customer service. Position Overview We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cabling Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in Cat6/Cat6A data cabling, fiber optic terminations, security camera wiring, and AV installations, with strong troubleshooting skills and pride in craftsmanship. You'll work on pre-wires, rough-ins, terminations, testing, and final installations for projects ranging from luxury homes to commercial spaces. Key Responsibilities Install, terminate, and label Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A, RG6, and fiber optic cabling per industry standards Build out and organize IDF/MDF racks, patch panels, and cable management systems Perform cable testing and certification (Fluke/LinkIQ/continuity testing) Install and configure network devices, cameras, access control panels, and AV components Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams Work safely on ladders, lifts, and in attic/crawl spaces as needed Maintain a clean job site and uphold company image and professionalism Collaborate with other technicians and project managers to meet deadlines Troubleshoot and repair low-voltage systems as needed Requirements 3+ years of experience in structured cabling, low-voltage, or related field Strong knowledge of low-voltage standards and installation best practices Familiarity with tools of the trade (punch-down, toners, testers, fish tape, etc.) Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (company vehicle may be provided) Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environments Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Must be dependable, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team Preferred but not required: Experience with CCTV, access control, Control4, UniFi, or AV systems Certifications such as
BICSI, OSHA
