General Purpose:
The Cable Technician is responsible for assisting in the assembly, testing, and inspection of cable assemblies and wiring harnesses. The position plays a crucial role in ensuring that all cable assemblies meet quality standards and are delivered on time. This person is responsible for following established procedures and safety guidelines to support the manufacturing process and contribute to the overall success of the production team.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and understand work orders to correctly assemble, package, and label finished products and prepare them for shipment. Assist with the accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. Assist with maintaining an adequate inventory of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands. Responsible for pulling and picking parts for shipment. Conduct routine housekeeping and recycling duties to maintain an orderly work area. Assist with production and inventory reporting in a timely manner. Support other team members in meeting department goals. Attend company provided product and process training courses as defined by job requirements; trains others as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED- preferred Previous experience in material handling, parts or electronic assembly. Strong mechanical abilities and assembly skills. Basic computer literacy. Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions. Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work instructions. Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
Physical Demands:
Repetitive motion of the hands, wrists, and fingers. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Frequently remaining in a stationary position, including standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Occasional use of machinery and power tools.
Work Environment:
The role is typically performed in both a warehouse and production area. Safety precautions and PPE may be required in both environments. Parameter is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
