Job Description ITG Communications is hiring a Field Technician in Rocky Hill, CT. At ITG Rocky Hill, CT our field technicians visit customer homes to install, upgrade or fix cable TV, internet and home phone service. We are focused on safety, the customer experience and the quality of our craftsmanship. This is a full-time career for people who like to work with the public, work with their hands and work outside in a different place every day. We are looking for experienced technicians or customer service driven individuals with the desire to learn the trade and have a rock- solid work ethic. We provide paid training for all new technicians. Training generally takes 4-8 weeks for those new to the role and may be shorter for experienced candidates. Training pay is $16.94 hour. After training, technicians transition to production pays with opportunities for overtime. Requirements Qualified candidates must meet these criteria: Must be able to pass a preemployment drug screening Must be able to pass a criminal background check Must have a clean driving history Ability to work outside every day in all types of weather including extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, etc. Ability to safely and comfortably carry an 80-pound 28-foot fiberglass extension ladder on all terrains and in all weather conditions Ability to work with heights & in tight spaces including a 28' extension ladder, crawl spaces, & attics. Availability to work a full schedule Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8am until 5-7 pm depending on workflow We work a 6th day on Wednesdays when requested by our customer with as much notice given as possible Perks & Benefits Paid training Aggressive & competitive base rate vs production pay Monthly performance bonus for qualifying technicians A starter tool kit and industry specific tools necessary such as meters, drills, ladders, etc. Dispatch from home in a company provided work vehicle with a fuel card.
